Colorado State 66, No. 23 UNLV 61:
Dorian Green scored a season-high 24 points and Greg Smith added 16 as the Rams edged the visiting Rebels and extended their home-winning streak to 24 games.

Neither team led by more than four points in the second half until Green hit two free throws with 22 seconds left to put Colorado State (15-3, 2-1 Mountain West) ahead 64-59. After Anthony Marshall scored with 14 seconds to play, Wes Eikmeier hit two free throws to secure the victory.

Marshall scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half for UNLV (15-4, 2-2), which trailed 31-26 at halftime. Freshman Katin Reinhardt added 11 points.

Colorado State, which improved to 12-0 when leading at the half, scored its final 10 points at the free-throw line. The Rams were 19-of-21 (90.5 percent) from the line, compared to 9-of-14 (64.3) for the Rebels.

Colton Iverson had a game-high 10 rebounds for Colorado State. Eikmeier, averaging 20 points over the last three games, battled foul trouble and finished with six points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Each of UNLV’s four losses have been by six or fewer points. … Colorado State’s 15-3 start ties the school’s best mark through 18 games, matching the Rams’ start to the 1997-98 season. … UNLV leads the series 33-11.
