UCLA 95, Prairie View A&M 53: Shabazz Muhammad recorded a season-high 25 points and fellow freshman Kyle Anderson had a season-high 16 as the host Bruins won easily.

Muhammad, a 6-6 wing, has reached double figures in scoring in all seven games since becoming eligible for the Bruins (7-3). Anderson, a 6-9 forward, also grabbed 11 rebounds and contributed seven assists for his second double-double of the season.

Ryan Gesiakowski scored 14 points and Jourdan DeMuynck had 10 to lead the Panthers (5-6).

Muhammad scored nine of team’s first 13 points. With the score tied 7-7, the Bruins followed with a 27-6 run, then later closed the first half by scoring the final eight points to extend the lead to 46-23.

Jordan Adams, Norman Powell, David Wear and Tony Parker scored nine points apiece for UCLA, which finished with 25 assists on 33 field goals.

GAME NOTEBOOK: UCLA point guard Larry Drew II entered the game ranked fourth in the nation in assists per game (8.2) and 10th in assist-to-turnover ratio (4.63). He finished with nine assists and one turnover. … Adams made 35 of his first 36 free throws this season but is 10-for-16 in the last three games. … UCLA junior forward Travis Wear had a career-high five blocked shots.
