Deonte Burton scored 21 of his game-high 28 points in the second half and Nevada defeated host Arizona State 69-61 on Wednesday for its second straight win over a Pac-12 opponent.

Dario Hunt had 14 points and 12 rebounds for Nevada (6-3), which beat Washington 76-73 in overtime Friday. The Wolf Pack has won six of their past seven games.

Playing its first home game in 18 days, Arizona State (3-5) trailed by as many in 11 in the first half before tying the game at 49 with 7:12 remaining in the game.

Jerry Evans’ 3-pointer with 5:11 left gave Nevada a 58-52 lead and the Wolf Pack made 9-of-13 free throws down the stretch to secure the win.

Carrick Felix had 15 points and Kyle Cain recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds for Arizona State. Keala King added 14 points, but committed seven turnovers.

Burton, who was named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 31 points against Washington, made 13 of his 15 free throw attempts.

The Sun Devils committed 17 turnovers and shot only 11-of-18 from the free throw line.
