Chris Warren once again reached the 20-point plateau, and Ole Miss used a 15-2 second-half run to shake off pesky Southeastern Louisiana 68-59 on Sunday in Oxford, Miss. Warren scored a game-high 22 points, the senior guard reaching 20 points for the 33rd time in his career and seventh time this season. He scored 15 of his points after halftime, helping the Rebels (11-3) win for the eighth time in nine games.

Southeastern Louisiana (6-6) led 31-27 after a tightly played first half in which neither team led by more than five points. In the second half, the Rebels slowly took control. Ole Miss trailed 44-43 on DeShawn Patterson’s layup with 11:21 to go. Dundrecous Nelson’s basket 20 seconds later pushed the Rebels ahead and sparked a 15-2 run, the Rebels building a 58-46 lead on Terrance Henry’s layup with 5:07 left.

Trent Hutchin’s shooting kept the Lions close, his two 3-pointers bringing Southeastern Louisiana within 65-59 with 1:13 to go. But Zach Graham’s three-point play with 31 seconds left ended any hopes of a Lions’ comeback. Graham finished with 14 points. Terrance Henry scored 10 points with 11 rebounds, and Reginald Buckner blocked four shots.

Gary Dixon led the Lions with 19 points. Hutchin added 16 points.

The Rebels travel to SMU on Wednesday for their final non-conference game, then open SEC play on Saturday at Florida. Southeastern Louisiana takes on Stephen F. Austin in the Southland Conference opener on Saturday at home.
