John Petty scored 30 points, connecting on a school-record 10 3-pointers and Collen Sexton added 25 points as the Alabama Crimson Tide manhandled Alabama A&M 104-67 on Friday at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

All of Petty's field-goal attempts came from beyond the arc as he made 10 of 13 attempts.

Sexton went 11 of 16 from the field and added six assists and four rebounds as Alabama moved to 3-0 on the young season.

Dazon Ingram added 12 points and six boards for the Crimson Tide.

Amari Goulbourne led the Bulldogs (0-3) with 19 points and Arthur Johnson added 12.

The Crimson Tide scored the game's first 10 points. The Bulldogs didn't get on the board until Goulbourne's layup at the 15:05 mark.

A 3-pointer by Jalen Reeder got A&M within seven at 19-12, but then the Crimson Tide's offense kicked into high gear as Alabama outscored the Bulldogs 32-10 to take a 51-22 lead at intermission.

Alabama kept the pressure on throughout the second half and playing mostly with reserves opened up a 38-point lead on a layup by Alex Reese with 4:40 left in the game.

The Crimson Tide were just too athletic and too tall for their instate foes. They controlled the paint in the first half, outrebounding the Bulldogs 26-10 and holding a 20-10 scoring advantage. For the game, the Crimson Tide held a 39-16 advantage on the boards.

Alabama shot 63 percent (19-for-30) from the field and made 9 of 14 from beyond the arc in the first half. They finished at 64.5 percent on 40 of 62 from the field.

The Bulldogs struggled from the field making just 8 of 25 (32 percent) in the first half. For the game, they were 24-for 54 (44.4 percent).

Alabama A&M also connected on just 3 of 11 free-throw attempts in the first 20 minutes.
