Kansas State was led by Arthur Kaluma with 26 points. Cam Carter added 16, and Perry had 10.

Villanova (6-4) has lost three straight games. Jordan Longino led the visitors with 16 points, while TJ Bamba had 15, Tyler Burton 12, Eric Dixon 11 and Hakim Hart 10.

Hart hit two free throws at the start of overtime to give Villanova its first lead since the middle of the first half. Longino hit 1 of 2 to increase the lead to three before Dai Dai Ames sank two foul shots for Kansas.

Dixon sank a 3-pointer with 1:20 left to extend Villanova's lead to 71-67. David N'Guessan hit a layup to cut the deficit in half with 48 seconds left.

Longino missed a foul-line jumper and Kansas State got the rebound, leading to Perry's go-ahead 3-pointer.

Longino tried to go end-to-end, but his layup attempt came after the final buzzer.

Villanova, which trailed by eight at halftime, rode back-to-back 3-pointers by Hart and Longino early in the second half to cut the deficit to 42-41.

The hosts led by nine midway through the half, but Villanova tied it at 63 on a put-back by Longino with 59 seconds remaining.

Hart stole the ball from Perry with 20 seconds left, but Bamba's shot at the buzzer was short.

Villanova started out hot from long range, hitting 5 of 6 from beyond the arc while building a 19-13 lead.

Kansas State went on a 7-0 run to regain the lead and led by as much 30-21 after a Kaluma trey with 2:05 to go in the half.
