Dre Davis tied his season high with 15 points as visiting Seton Hall pounded Butler 70-49 on Saturday in Indianapolis.
Davis, playing in his hometown, went 3-for-3 from behind the arc but had his standout day cut short when he went down with an apparent right leg injury with less than four minutes to play.
Al-Amir Dawes had 11 points, KC Ndefo scored 10 and Kadary Richmond added 10 points, five rebounds and five assists. Seton Hall (13-9, 6-5 Big East) swept the season series and won for the fifth time in six games.
Simas Lukosius posted 11 points and Jalen Thomas had 10 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for Butler (11-12, 3-9) as the Bulldogs lost their fourth in a row.
The Pirates scored 34 points in the paint -- 22 in the first half alone. They grabbed 11 steals and held Butler to 37.3 percent shooting.
Butler starting guard Chuck Harris took a blow to the head when colliding with another player during the first half. He left the game and did not return.
Butler scored the first four points of the game but never led again after 4-3. Femi Odukale scored seven of the Pirates' first 13 points, starting with a three-point play.
Davis came off the bench in the middle of the half and scored eight straight points for Seton Hall, including the team's first two 3-pointers of the day, to make it 27-14 with 8:01 left.
The Pirates held the Bulldogs without a field goal for the final 6:41 of the half, and Dawes beat the first-half buzzer with a corner trey for a 38-18 halftime lead. Davis and Richmond had eight points apiece at the break, while Lukosius led all scorers with nine.
Seton Hall led by at least 20 for almost the entire second half. Dawes made two more 3-pointers, and the Pirates were doubling up their foes 54-27 after the latter shot fell with 14:42 to play.
Freshman Connor Turnbull's alley-oop dunk was the lone highlight of the second half for the Bulldogs.
