Marreon Jackson came off the bench and scored 14 points, making four 3-pointers, as Arizona State defeated host Washington State 58-55 Saturday night in a Pac-12 Conference game in Pullman, Wash.

Jalen Graham also scored 14 points for the Sun Devils (8-15, 4-9 Pac-12), who snapped a two-game losing streak. Reserve Luther Muhammad added 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Tyrell Roberts led Washington State (14-9, 7-5) with 14 points and Mouhamed Gueye added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

After trailing 29-27 at the intermission, the Sun Devils opened the second half with a 12-2 run. Muhammad opened the streak on a jumper with 16:31 remaining and Jackson capped it with a 3-pointer with 13:16 to go.

The Cougars got within two points five times over the next 10 minutes but couldn't pull even.

Roberts made a 3-pointer with 2:53 left to make it 53-52, but Jackson answered with a trey and Graham added a jumper in the lane to make it 58-52.

Another Roberts 3-pointer, off an Arizona State turnover, made it 58-55 with 45 seconds left, but he missed a 3-point try with 12.2 seconds to go that would've tied the score.

The Sun Devils committed a turnover on an inbounds pass with 4.2 seconds left to give WSU the ball, but the Cougars tried a long pass that was intercepted by Muhammad to end it.

The Cougars led at the half despite missing 14 of their final 15 field-goals attempts before the intermission. Gueye led WSU with seven points and five rebounds.

The Sun Devils had a chance to match their total from their 51-29 loss to WSU on Dec. 1 in Tempe, Ariz., by halftime, but failed to score in the final 3:16 of the half while committing four turnovers during that stretch.

Muhammad, Graham and Jackson all scored six points in the half.

Arizona State shot 49 percent from the field (24 of 49) while limiting WSU to 30.5 percent (18 of 59). The Sun Devils dominated inside, outscoring the Cougars 30-16 in the paint.
