K.D. Johnson's 19 points led five Auburn players in double figures in the No. 21 Tigers' 86-64 rout of Yale on Saturday afternoon in Auburn, Ala.

The Tigers (7-1) collected their fourth straight win after a strong stretch to end the first half.

They handled the second half throughout and outscored Yale 39-34 in the easy win.

Johnson, a transfer from Georgia, went 7-for-12 from the field and added a trio of treys.

Jabari Smith notched 17 points and seven rebounds.

Devan Cambridge recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Dylan Cardwell and Zep Jasper each scored 10 points.

Auburn shot 44 percent from the field and held a 34-20 advantage in points in the paint as the SEC school recorded its 38th consecutive non-conference home win.

Yale (5-5) shot just 32.3 percent and was led by Matthue Cotton's 14 points and Isaiah Kelly's 12.

Auburn started fast against the visiting Bulldogs, opening the game with an 11-0 run in the first 4:03 as four different players scored, including Smith with a trey.

Yale missed its first 12 shots, finally getting on the board on Cotton's jumper with 14:09, and the Ivy League school fought back to cut the deficit to 17-13 on Jack Molloy's two free throws with 10:42 left.

Behind 4-of-9 shooting from distance, Yale got back in it -- Jalen Gabbidon's 3-pointer with 7:46 left made it 26-19 -- but the Tigers ran out the half 21-11 for a 47-30 lead at the break.

Johnson's steal and layup with five seconds to go gave him a half-high 12 points, and Smith totaled 11 and five rebounds.

Auburn shot 48.6 percent from the field and made half of its 16 shots from distance.

Cotton topped Yale with 11 points, but it shot just 28.6 percent from the floor, with nine of the shots being rejected.

After falling hard and appearing to hurt his wrist in the second half, Smith drove baseline for a layup at 15:38 that made it 61-36 for the Tigers' largest lead at the time.

They eventually led by 34 for their largest margin of the contest.
