Jamir Harris made five 3-pointers in the first half on his way to a game-high 23 points, and No. 25 Seton Hall handled business against Division II visitor Nyack 113-67 Saturday in South Orange, N.J.

Tyrese Samuel came off the bench to notch career highs with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Jared Rhoden posted his second straight double-double with 16 points and 10 points.

Reserve Tray Jackson added a career-high 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting for Seton Hall (7-1).

Joel Bailey led Nyack (2-5) with 15 points, Jayden Dawson had 14 and Isayas Aris chipped in 13.

It was not lopsided for all 40 minutes. Three early 3-pointers, two by Jordan Rodriguez, helped Nyack take a 13-7 lead that forced Seton Hall to call a timeout.

The Warriors never led by more than six, though. A pair of 3s from Harris gave the Pirates leads of 16-15 and 19-17, as they went on to make nine consecutive shots during a 26-4 scoring run.

Nyack forced a shot-clock violation and got a 3 from Bailey at the buzzer to keep the halftime deficit a respectable 48-34. The Warriors took eight offensive rebounds in the first half to keep their offense working. Harris led all scorers with 15, coming on 5-of-8 shooting from long range.

Seton Hall used a 13-2 run early in the second half to begin to put the game out of reach. The Pirates wound up shooting 66.7 percent (20-for-30) in the half.

Rhoden came up with a steal and tossed an alley-oop to Samuel, whose one-handed slam with 9:40 to play gave Seton Hall an 80-50 advantage. The Warriors would never get closer than 26 from then on, and Seton Hall emptied its bench for the final five minutes of the blowout.

Seton Hall played without Jahari Long (lower body) and Bryce Aiken (non-COVID illness). Myles Cale returned after missing three games with a groin injury and scored 12 points.
