Umoja Gibson scored 13 to lead Oklahoma to a 65-62 win over host Central Florida on Saturday in Orlando.

The Sooners led by nine with three minutes remaining before the Knights made a strong push, cutting the lead to one in the final minute on Darin Green Jr.'s 3-pointer off a turnover by Oklahoma's Elijah Harkless.

But Harkless made up for it, with a jumper on the next possession, and UCF couldn't get a perimeter look in the final seconds and Tony Johnson Jr. missed a layup - and Harkless grabbed the defensive rebound just before the buzzer to end the game.

Ethan Chargois had a season-high 12 points off the bench for Oklahoma (6-1), while Jordan Goldwire had 11 points, seven assists, and four steals with just one turnover. The Sooners shot 54.5% from the floor.

Green led the Knights (4-1) with 17 points, hitting five 3-pointers. Darius Perry added 16 points and eight assists in the loss.

The defenses dominated most of the first half, with the teams combining for 23 first-half turnovers.

The Knights overcame an early deficit with a 9-0 run that gave them a 9-5 lead with 12:49 remaining in the first half. The Sooners missed seven consecutive shots and turned the ball over five times before Ethan Chargois' 3-pointer ended UCF's run.

Then it was the Knights' turn to go more than seven minutes without scoring, as Oklahoma responded with a 10-0 run. UCF was 0 for 6 from the floor with five turnovers during the run.

The teams finally found a bit of offensive rhythm late in the half, with a flurry of buckets as Oklahoma took a 28-24 lead into halftime.

OU's leading scorer, Tanner Groves, was scoreless in the first half before getting going early in the second. He finished with nine points, making all four of his shots inside the arc after the break.

The Sooners took the lead for good less than seven minutes into the second half, building their lead to 10 with a 16-5 run.

Green hit a 3-pointer with 2:21 to go to start the Knights' late push, and Green's 3-pointer with 52 seconds remaining got them to within 63-62 before Harkless came through for the Sooners.

Oklahoma outscored UCF 18-6 in the paint in the second half.
