Javon Freeman-Liberty had 22 points, six rebounds and four steals to help lead DePaul to a 101-63 home win over Eastern Michigan on Sunday.

Nick Ongenda had 16 points and six rebounds, Courvoisier McCauley had 14 points and five rebounds, and David Jones added 12 points, five assists, five rebounds and three steals for DePaul, which has started 6-0 for the second time in three years.

DePaul made shots consistently for the entire game, finishing 58% from the field overall and 9 of 22 from 3-point range.

The Blue Demons also had a decided edge on the boards, outrebounding Eastern Michigan by a 44-32 margin.

Monty Scott was the only player to score in double figures for Eastern Michigan, scoring 18 points on 7 of 15 shooting from the field overall and 3 of 5 shooting from 3-point range.

Other than Scott, Eastern Michigan struggled to make shots, shooting 33% from the field overall and 28% from 3-point range.

The Eagles also committed 17 turnovers.

Eastern Michigan got off to a strong start, taking a 16-13 lead with 12:50 remaining in the first half and then tying the game at 19-19 with 8:38 left until halftime before DePaul took over from there.

The Blue Demons went on a 14-3 run to take a 33-22 lead with 5:02 remaining in the first half, and then closed the first half on a 10-0 run to take a 53-29 lead at halftime.

DePaul continued to grow its lead in the second half, starting the second half on a 12-0 run to take a 65-29 lead with 17:10 remaining in the game.

Overall, it was a 22-0 DePaul run over the final 2:28 of the first half and the first 2:50 of the second half.

DePaul then took its biggest lead of the game at 86-43 with 8:51 left.
