Luka Garza scored 24 points and collected nine rebounds and four blocked shots to lead No. 5 Iowa to a 62-57 victory over Wisconsin in the Big Ten tournament quarterfinals on Friday night at Indianapolis.

Jordan Bohannon scored 11 points as Iowa (21-7) advances to the Big Ten semifinals for the first time since 2006. The third-seeded Hawkeyes will face No. 3 and second-seeded Illinois on Saturday.

Joe Wieskamp had 10 points and seven rebounds for Iowa, which won for the eighth time in its past nine games. The Hawkeyes also beat Wisconsin for the third time this season.

D'Mitrik Trice scored 19 points and Micah Potter recorded 17 points and eight rebounds for the sixth-seeded Badgers (17-12). Brad Davison added 10 points for Wisconsin, which lost for the sixth time in eight games.

Wisconsin shot 38.6 percent from the field, including 7 of 17 from 3-point range.

The Hawkeyes made 40.6 percent from the field and were a shaky 2 of 20 from behind the arc. Garza made 10 of 15 shots.

Wieskamp scored back-to-back baskets to give Iowa a 56-52 lead with 2:35 remaining. Potter made two free throws for the Badgers before Bohannon drove for a layup to restore the Hawkeyes' four-point lead with 1:31 left.

Trice made two costly turnovers, the second when he failed to inbound the ball within the mandatory five seconds with 19.5 seconds left.

Bohannon was fouled and made two free throws to boost the score to 60-54 with 17.5 seconds to play. Trice then made a 3-pointer with 11.9 seconds to end a stretch of eight straight Wisconsin missed shots, dating back to his own 3-pointer with 9:21 left.

Bohannon made two free throws with 9.9 seconds left to seal it.

Potter had 11 points and five rebounds as Wisconsin held a 32-26 halftime edge.

Garza had 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting but the rest of the Hawkeyes had just eight points on 4-of-18 shooting.

Garza's basket gave Iowa an 18-11 lead with 10:48 remaining in the half before the Badgers outscored the Hawkeyes 21-8 the remainder of the half.

Iowa missed its first 10 3-point attempts until Bohannon connected to pull his team within 34-31 with 17:01 left in the contest.

The Hawkeyes later scored six straight points, capped by Wieskamp's basket, to take a 52-48 lead with 6:11 remaining.
