Charlie Moore scored 21 points to help DePaul record its first Big East win of the season with a 68-61 victory over Marquette on Saturday in Milwaukee.

Moore made all 10 of his foul shots and Javon Freeman-Liberty finished with 19 points for the Blue Demons (3-5 overall, 1-5 Big East), who rebounded after squandering a 13-point lead in the second half.

DePaul snapped a 14-game road losing skid within the conference and won in Milwaukee for the first time since posting a 57-56 victory on Jan. 20, 2016.

D.J. Carton scored 23 points for the Golden Eagles (8-7, 4-5), who committed 10 of their 14 turnovers in the first half to see their modest two-game winning streak come to a halt.

Three-time Big East Freshman of the Week Dawson Garcia was limited to three points for Marquette. He entered play on Saturday averaging a team-leading 13.4 per game this season.

Darious Hall's layup gave DePaul a 45-32 lead with 11:18 remaining before Marquette trimmed its deficit to one after Jamal Cain drained a 3-pointer with 5:26 to play. Cain didn't stop there, sinking another 3-pointer from the corner to give the Golden Eagles a 56-54 lead with 3:48 remaining.

Undaunted, Freeman-Liberty and Moore each responded with a basket and a pair of free throws to push DePaul's advantage to 62-56. Carton answered with two free throws and a high-arching 3-pointer to bring Marquette to within 64-61, but Moore made four more from the charity stripe to seal the win.

Marquette committed more turnovers (10) than field goals (eight) to find itself trailing 30-24 at intermission.

Garcia, Koby McEwen and Carton each made a 3-pointer to stake the Golden Eagles to an early 9-5 lead before the Blue Demons answered by scoring the next 10 points of the game. Hall capped the surge by making a layup while being fouled, but he missed the ensuing free throw.

Carton made three straight free throws to give Marquette a 24-22 lead with 3:17 remaining, but Freeman-Liberty's 3-pointer highlighted an 8-0 spurt to end the half.
