TJ Holyfield scored 21 points to lead Texas Tech to a 69-61 win over Oklahoma in Lubbock, Texas, on Tuesday night.

It wasn't easy for the Red Raiders.

Texas Tech overcame a halftime deficit with hot shooting, going 14 of 21 from the floor and also shooting 66.7 percent from behind the 3-point line in the second half.

Texas Tech was 55.6 percent from behind the arc overall, its fifth game this season shooting better than 50 percent on 3-pointers.

The game was tied with less than five minutes to play -- the 10th tie of the game to go with 17 lead changes -- when Texas Tech took control for good.

The Sooners went nearly three minutes without scoring, missing two shots from the field and turning the ball over once as the Red Raiders (14-8, 5-4 Big 12) took the largest lead of the game to that point with six consecutive points.

Kyler Edwards added 17 points for Tech.

Oklahoma's Brady Manek showed that he was more than a 3-point shooter.

Manek, who is third in the Big 12 in both scoring and 3-point field goal percentage, was just 1 of 6 from behind the 3-point line one game after hitting seven 3-pointers in 13 attempts in a win over Oklahoma State.

But Manek hit seven of eight from inside the arc on Tuesday, to finish with 19 points to lead the Sooners (14-8, 4-5). Austin Reaves added 16 for Oklahoma.

The Red Raiders were without key backup Chris Clarke for much of the game.

The senior swingman injured his ankle Jan. 29 against West Virginia and was limited for the second consecutive game.

Clarke reaggravated the injury late in the first half and didn't return until almost the midpoint of the second half. He played just six minutes.

The game was the start of a tough stretch for the Sooners, with six of eight games against No. 1 Baylor, No. 3 Kansas and No. 13 West Virginia. The Red Raiders were the first team out of the poll this week.
