EUGENE, Ore. -- With Oregon's leading scorer on the bench for the second game in a row, Jordan Bell once again took over that role.

The junior forward posted a career-high point total for the second consecutive game, scoring 23 to lead No. 20 Oregon to a 75-63 win over Fresno State in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Matthew Knight Arena.

Bell was 8 of 11 from the field just three days after he went 7 of 8 while scoring 16 points in a win over UNLV. He added eight rebounds Tuesday.

"I've never been a scorer in high school or AAU, it was always put-backs," Bell said. "Now I am trying to get in a groove. Get the ball and try to score."

Bell averaged 5.1 points as a freshman and 7.0 as a sophomore, but he has boosted his scoring to 10.3 points per game as a junior.

"Jordan has always been extremely skilled around the basket," Oregon guard Casey Benson said. "Now he is taking his time, and people can't guard him. It is awesome to see him playing so well. When you give him the ball, you know he will go get a basket or make a quick pass and the result will be good."

Senior guard Dylan Ennis added 13 points for the Ducks, while forward Dillon Brooks and guard Tyler Dorsey each scored nine points on 3-of-9 shooting. Benson had a season-high five assists and matched his career high with five rebounds while scoring seven points.

Oregon (11-2) won its ninth straight game and now takes one week off before hosting second-ranked UCLA on Dec. 28. Ducks center Chris Boucher, who leads the team with averages of 14.1 points and 3.2 blocked shots while adding 7.8 rebounds per game, hopes to return after missing two games in a row due to a sprained ankle.

"We are grinding some things out and finding different ways to win games, which is absolutely important in November and December," Oregon coach Dana Altman said. "But at some point you have to get better, and obviously we are not playing our best basketball, not anywhere close to it."

Guard Paul Watson scored 15 to pace the Bulldogs (8-4). Forward Karachi Edo added 12 points, and he and Watson each pulled down seven rebounds.

Oregon shot 56.7 percent in the first half as it took its largest lead, 39-25, into the break, but the Ducks shot 36.4 percent in the second half.

Fresno State shot 16 of 29 (55.2 percent) in the second half to close within three points before Oregon pulled away.

Bryson Williams and guard Jaron Hopkins opened the second half with back-to-back baskets that got Fresno State within 39-29, and Hopkins scored again to cut Oregon's lead to 43-34.

Dorsey answered for Oregon before Edo, Watson and guard Deshon Taylor each scored for Fresno State to cut the deficit to 45-40 with 14:01 left.

Bell scored four straight Oregon points, and Ennis hit a free throw to put Oregon ahead 50-42. Hopkins scored five straight points to get the Bulldogs within 53-50 before Bell dropped two dunks and a free throw to put Oregon ahead 58-50.

Taylor scored for Fresno State before Dorsey got a bucket and Benson added two free throws to put Oregon ahead 62-52. After Fresno State closed within 67-61 on a free throw by Edo with 2:08 to play, Ennis hit a 3-pointer for the Ducks.

Both teams struggled from beyond the arc. Oregon made just 3 of 15 3-point tries (20 percent), while Fresno State was 6 of 22 (27.3 percent).
