No. 24 Murray State 80, Morehead State 77: Cameron Payne scored 25 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer in the final minute, as the top-seeded Racers rallied late to advance to the Ohio Valley Conference tournament final.

Jarvis Williams had 23 points and 10 rebounds for Murray State (27-4), which won its 25th straight game. T.J. Sapp had 17 points while Jeffery Moss chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Karam Mashour had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead Morehead State (17-17), the No. 5 seed, while Kareem Storey added 20 points and five assists. Angelo Warner had 13 points off the bench for the Eagles, who were hurt by 17-of-26 shooting from the free-throw line.

The Eagles weren't intimidated from the start, taking an early lead and going up 15-10 with just over 13 minutes to go in the first half before the Racers went on a 19-7 run - with Sapp scoring nine of the points - to take a seven-point lead with less than six minutes to play. Murray State pushed the lead to 43-32 at halftime - shooting 50 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes - with Sapp scoring 15 and Williams going for 13.

But the second half was a different story as the Eagles pulled within five in the first four minutes and went on a 25-8 run over a span of seven-plus minutes to go up 67-57 with less than eight minutes to go. The lead was 11 with 6½ minutes to play when the Racers made their move, using a 15-4 run to tie the game on Williams' dunk with 1:45 to play, and they took the lead for good on Payne's 3-pointer with 56 seconds to go before surviving three missed 3-point attempts by the Eagles in the final 37 seconds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Morehead State's reserves outscored their Murray State counterparts 21-0. … The Racers will face Belmont in Saturday's final. … Murray State won the rebound battle 42-33 with Jonathan Fairell grabbing a game-high 13 for the Racers.
