No. 3 Virginia 75, No. 13 North Carolina 64: Malcolm Brogdon scored 17 points to lead four players in double figures as the Cavaliers rebounded from their first loss with a big ACC road win.

Justin Anderson tallied 16 points and seven assists for Virginia (20-1, 8-1 ACC), which earned its first road win over a ranked Tar Heels team since Feb. 3, 1981. London Perrantes added 15 points and six assists and Anthony Gill contributed 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

Marcus Paige scored 15 points to lead North Carolina (17-6, 7-3), which has lost two straight following a six-game winning streak. Brice Johnson had 14 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots and Kennedy Meeks added 11 points and seven boards for the Tar Heels.

Gill scored four straight points and Brogdon drained a 3-pointer to cap a 9-0 run as Virginia broke open a tight game and opened up a 57-44 lead with less than nine minutes to play. The lead was as large as 16 before Paige hit a 3-pointer and made 2-of-3 at the line to trim the margin to 70-61 with 1:20 to play, but the Tar Heels didn't get any closer as the Cavaliers sealed it at the line.

The Tar Heels led by as many as six early before Virginia settled in and surged to a 32-29 lead with about 1 1/2 minutes left in the half. Johnson scored at the rim and Meeks beat the buzzer with a tip-in to give North Carolina a 33-32 lead at the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Virginia improved to 60-4 when scoring at least 70 points under coach Tony Bennett. … Paige went 3-for-7 from 3-point range and has made at least two triples in 13 consecutive games, tying Shammond Williams' school record set in 1996-97. … The Cavaliers have won eight straight true road games, the longest active streak in the nation.
