No. 17 Iowa State 89, TCU 76: Georges Niang and Monte Morris had 19 points and six assists apiece as the visiting Cyclones clinched second place in the Big 12 and a first-round bye in next week's conference tournament.

Bryce Dejean-Jones contributed 15 points off the bench and Jameel McKay added 14 to go along with 10 rebounds for Iowa State (22-8, 12-6 Big 12), which shot 56.6 percent from the field and 64.3 percent from 3-point range. The Cyclones earned the season sweep over the Horned Frogs and a sixth straight series win.

Kenrich Williams led TCU (17-14, 4-14 Big 12) with 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists while Kyan Anderson scored 16 points. Trey Zeigler had 14 points and Karviar Shepherd secured 10 rebounds for the Horned Frogs, who finished ninth in the conference standings and will play eighth-seeded Kansas State on Wednesday in the first round of the tournament.

Anderson drained three of TCU's five 3-pointers in the first half, helping the Horned Frogs build a six-point edge by intermission, which lasted all of 1:39 into the second frame until the Cyclones caught up. Morris knotted the game at 34-34 with a triple and dished out an alley-oop pass in transition to McKay, who finished at the rim with an emphatic dunk, capping a 16-5 burst out of the break.

Iowa State, which trailed by as many as 10 in the first half, secured its first double-digit lead at 65-55 with just under nine minutes to play, and the margin swelled to 15 after back-to-back 3-pointers. TCU came within 79-71 with just over three minutes remaining, but Iowa State sealed the win with free throws.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Iowa State will play the Texas Tech-Texas winner in Thursday's quarterfinals. ... TCU held a 16-7 edge on the offensive glass and 39-31 overall. ...Niang struggled early, shooting 1-of-6 in the first half, but recovered to finish 8-of-16.
