No. 10 Kansas 76, No. 20 West Virginia 69 (OT): Frank Mason scored eight of his 19 points in the extra session and Jamari Traylor scored six of his 14 in overtime as the Jayhawks recovered from an 18-point deficit to stun the Mountaineers and claim the Big 12 regular-season title for the 11th straight season.

Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 12 points and Devonte Graham added 10 for Kansas (24-6, 13-4), which lost leading scorer Perry Ellis to an apparent knee injury in the first half. Traylor’s tiebreaking dunk with 3:02 left in overtime put the Jayhawks ahead to stay and Mason scored four straight points to boost the lead to six with 44.4 seconds to go before adding four more free throws to seal it.

Freshman Daxter Miles Jr. scored a season-high 23 points and his fifth 3-pointer of the contest moved West Virginia (22-8, 10-7) within 72-69 with 31.1 seconds left before Mason thwarted any further comeback. Tarik Phillip added a career-best 13 points and Jonathan Holton had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Mountaineers, who were without starting guards Juwan Staten (knee, groin) and Gary Browne (foot).

The Jayhawks trailed by 16 points early in the second half before rattling off nine straight but West Virginia stopped the surge as Holton made two 3-pointers 43 seconds apart for a 50-39 lead with 11:39 left in regulation. Kansas made another charge and driving baskets by Traylor and Mason pulled the Jayhawks within 57-55 with 46.4 seconds to play and Kansas knotted the score at 59 on two free throws by Graham with 11.5 seconds left.

West Virginia ran off 13 straight points for a 17-6 lead less than eight minutes into the game and still led by 10 points with 4:07 left in the half. The Mountaineers ran off the next eight with Phillip’s layup making it an 18-point margin with 1:22 left before settling for a 40-26 halftime lead.
