LSU 71, Alabama 60: Jordan Mickey had 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead the host Tigers past the Crimson Tide.

Jarell Martin scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half for LSU (17-6, 6-4 SEC). Tim Quarterman added 15 points and eight rebounds while Keith Hornsby chipped in 10 points.

Levi Randolph led Alabama (14-9, 4-6) with 17 points before fouling out with two minutes left. Riley Norris added 12 points and 12 rebounds off the bench and Shannon Hale contributed in 13 points.

Martin had two early buckets and Hornsby hit a pair of 3-pointers as LSU started the game 10-of-14 from the floor on the way to a 26-13 lead. Mickey's three-point play with just under seven minutes left in the first half made it 29-13 lead, but the Tigers missed their next five shots while Alabama climbed to within 30-20 on a 7-1 run to end the half.

Quarterman hit a pair of second-half 3s as the Tigers pushed their lead to 47-31 before Randolph had a 3-pointer and dunk to spark an 16-2 run to get Alabama within two points with nine minutes left. Mickey and Martin then combined for 11 points during a 13-4 run over the next six minutes as LSU built another double-digit lead.
