Ole Miss 72, Florida 71: Jarvis Summers knocked down two free throws with 3.5 seconds remaining as the host Rebels upended the Gators.

Summers had 16 points and eight assists and LaDarius White added 13 points for Ole Miss (12-7, 3-3 SEC). Terence Smith tallied 11 points and Dwight Coleby added 10 points and four blocked shots for the Rebels, who closed the contest with a 7-2 run to defeat Florida for just the third time in the last 15 meetings.

Michael Frazier II scored a season-high 27 points, matched a season best with six 3-point baskets and hit two free throws to give the Gators (10-9, 3-3) a one-point lead with 9.8 seconds left. Dorian Finney-Smith made four from behind the arc while scoring 15 points for Florida, which saw time expire before Kasey Hill could get off a final shot for its third consecutive loss.

The Gators held a six-point lead with just over 14 minutes remaining before the Rebels rattled off 13 straight points – Smith made two 3-pointers and Anthony Perez hit one during the burst – to take a 53-46 lead with 11:27 left. Florida rallied to tie at it 57 on Frazier’s 3-pointer with 7:27 remaining and the guard knocked down another one to give the Gators a 67-65 lead with 3:25 to play before Summers drained a 17-footer to give Ole Miss a 70-69 lead with 27.9 seconds remaining.

Florida held a 20-9 lead after a 3-pointer by Devin Robinson before Ole Miss ran off the next 12 and took a one-point lead on Summers’ basket with 7:52 left in the first half. Finney-Smith hit back-to-back 3-pointers to push the Gators back ahead and went 4-of-4 from behind the arc in the opening 20 minutes as Florida led 36-30 at the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Gators were 12-of-20 from 3-point range, while Ole Miss was 6-of-21. … Hill scored just one point and had six assists. … The Rebels were leading the nation in free-throw shooting (79.8) entering the contest and improved on the percentage by going 16-of-19 against the Gators.
