No. 14 Kansas 85, No. 20 Oklahoma 78: Kelly Oubre Jr. had 19 points and nine rebounds, and Perry Ellis added 16 points and eight rebounds as the host Jayhawks knocked off the Sooners in Big 12 play.

Cliff Alexander had 13 points and a career-best 13 rebounds for Kansas (15-3, 4-1), which has won six of its past seven games. Brannen Greene scored 12 points, and Frank Mason III had 10 points as the Jayhawks recorded a home victory over Oklahoma for the 14th consecutive time.

Buddy Hield scored 26 points and made four 3-pointers, and Isaiah Cousins added 18 for the Sooners (12-6, 3-3). Ryan Spangler had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Jordan Woodard tallied 10 points.

The Sooners scored the first nine points of the second half and the run reached 24-5 over nine-plus minutes when Hield hit a 3-pointer to tie it at 56. Oklahoma went ahead by four points, and the Jayhawks eased ahead with 3:21 left when Greene’s 3-pointer electrified a 10-3 run for a five-point edge and Kansas protected the lead.

The Jayhawks rolled off 11 straight points to open up a 33-13 lead on Alexander’s three-point play with 9:47 left in the first half. Kansas was 8-of-8 from 3-point range after Devonte’ Graham drained one to make it 39-19 and the Jayhawks took a 51-32 lead into the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The double-double was Spangler’s sixth of the season. … Kansas made two more 3-pointers after the hot start to finish 10-of-19. … Hield was 7-of-19 from the field (and 4-of-13 from 3-point range) after making all 10 of his shots (including four 3-pointers) in Saturday’s victory over Oklahoma State.
