No. 18 Wisconsin 79, No. 15 Iowa 74: Frank Kaminsky scored six of his 21 points in the final 35 seconds as the visiting Badgers rallied for the key Big Ten victory.

Sam Dekker added 15 points and 11 rebounds and Josh Gasser scored 12 points on 4-for-5 shooting from 3-point range for Wisconsin (22-5, 9-5 Big Ten). Bronson Koenig added a season-high 12 points off the bench for the Badgers, who moved a half-game ahead of the Hawkeyes for third place in the conference standings.

Roy Devyn Marble finished with 21 points and 11 assists to lead Iowa (19-7, 8-5). Josh Oglesby matched his season high with 17 points off the bench and Mike Gesell and Gabriel Olaseni contributed 10 points apiece for the Hawkeyes.

Kaminsky scored inside for a 73-72 lead with 35 seconds left. Marble then turned the ball over on a drive, Iowa was forced to foul and the Badgers shot 6-for-6 from the line in the final 25 seconds, four from Kaminsky.

The Badgers led for all but the first three minutes of the first half, taking a 40-31 advantage into the break with the help of 10 points from Koenig, a freshman guard who came in averaging 2.9 points. Iowa tightened up its defense in the second half, however, holding Wisconsin without a field goal for the first 4 ½ minutes to pull within two before a 9-0 run put the Hawkeyes ahead 54-51 just before the midway point of the second half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Iowa changed its starting lineup for the first time this season when F Melsahn Basabe became ill during warm-ups and F Zach McCabe started in his place. Basabe came in fourth on the team in scoring (8.1) and tied for the lead in rebounding (6.6). … Iowa fell to 6-7 this season when giving up more than 70 points. … The Badgers have won 11 straight away from home.
