No. 22 Memphis 69, Central Florida 59: Joe Jackson led the way with 17 points as the Tigers defeated the host Knights.

Memphis (16-4, 6-2 AAC) won its fourth straight game thanks to a balanced offensive effort that also saw Chris Crawford (12), Michael Dixon Jr. (12) and Geron Johnson (10) score in double figures. Jackson added six rebounds, five assists and four steals for the Tigers, who enjoyed an efficient shooting night from the floor (51.1 percent) and the 3-point line (7-of-12).

Isaiah Sykes led Central Florida (9-9, 1-6) with a game-high 24 points, including 16 in the first half. Sykes also had 12 rebounds and five assists while Matt Williams made four 3-pointers en route to 13 points for the Knights.

In a tight game throughout, the Tigers finally created some separation with a 7-2 mini-run that turned a 59-56 edge into a more comfortable eight-point advantage with about four minutes remaining. Crawford had a 3-pointer to begin that burst before Jackson assisted on a layup by Johnson and then made a basket of his own.

Williams was fouled on a 3-pointer with 2:54 left but made just 1-of-3 attempts, accounting for Central Florida's only point over the final 4 1/2 minutes. Jackson made 3-of-4 foul shots in the final 70 seconds to seal the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis shot 65 percent in the first half, including 4-of-5 from long range, as the teams were tied 39-39 at intermission. ... Neither team fared particularly well from the free-throw line, as the Tigers were 16-of-24 and the Knights shot 4-of-7. ...
