Wake Forest 83, Virginia Tech 77: Travis McKie ended a personal slump with 24 points as the Demon Deacons rolled to their first road ACC win.

McKie, who was 3-for-19 from the floor over his previous four games, made all four of his 3-pointers in a 15-point first half and finished 7-for-10 from the field. Codi Miller-McIntyre had 20 points and a career-high 10 assists for Wake Forest (13-6, 3-3 ACC), which shot 53.6 percent.

Devin Wilson led shorthanded Virginia Tech (8-10, 1-5) with 26 points while Jarell Eddie added 20. Guards Adam Smith (calf) and Ben Emelogu (ankle) both sat, leaving Virginia Tech without two of its top three scorers.

The Hokies had one field goal in the first seven-plus minutes and fell behind 30-11 when McKie nailed a 3-pointer with under nine minutes to go in the first half. The lead reached 20 point later in the half before the hosts put together a 17-7 burst that stretched into the second half, capped by Eddie's 3-pointer with 18 minutes left to make it 44-34.

McKie had five points and Miller-McIntyre four in a 9-0 burst moments later and Tyler Cavanaugh was good from long range with nine minutes to go as Wake Forest built a 66-50 lead. Virginia Tech had one final push, getting to within 71-63 on Eddie's fourth 3-pointer with three minutes remaining, but the Demon Deacons scored the next five points and had enough to withstand eight points in the closing seconds by Wilson.
