Indiana 75, No. 3 Wisconsin 72: Yogi Ferrell scored 25 points and hit the tiebreaking 3-pointer that put the Hoosiers ahead to stay as host Indiana ended the Badgers’ all-time best start.

Will Sheehey and Stanford Robinson added 13 points apiece for the Hoosiers (12-5, 2-2 Big Ten), who snapped a 12-game losing streak against Wisconsin. Noah Vonleh scored 10 points and blocked four shots for Indiana, which rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to post its top victory of the season.

Traevon Jackson scored a career-best 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting for Wisconsin (16-1, 3-1), which missed two tying 3-point attempts in the final 11 seconds. Ben Brust scored 13 points, Frank Kaminsky had 11 points and nine rebounds and John Gasser also scored 11.

The Hoosiers trailed by 10 in the second half before erupting for 12 straight points to inch ahead and increased the lead to 61-57 on a basket by Austin Etherington with 6:14 left. The Badgers tied the game at 65 before Ferrell made the key 3-pointer among five straight points and the sophomore guard later hit two free throws with 18.1 seconds left to make it a three-point margin before Jackson and Brust missed game-tying attempts.

The Badgers used a 9-0 run to open an early 18-10 lead before Indiana scored the next eight to tie it. Wisconsin led 35-34 at the break and Jackson scored 11 of the team’s first 14 second-half points for a nine-point lead, and Sam Dekker’s 3-pointer made it 52-42 with 13 1/2 minutes remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Indiana’s previous victory over the Badgers came Jan. 31, 2007. … Ferrell’s go-ahead 3-pointer was the only one he made in eight attempts. … Wisconsin didn’t make its first free throw until Kaminsky’s three-point play with 1:08 remaining and was just 1-of-4 from the line.
