Auburn 81, Florida A&M 50: Leading scorer KT Harrell poured in 22 points and Chris Denson added 19 as the host Tigers completed their non-conference slate with a fourth straight victory.

Auburn (8-3) held Florida A&M to 21.9 percent shooting and dominated the glass 56-37. Harrell, a Virginia transfer, shot 7-of-12 with four assists and has scored in double figures in every game.

Florida A&M (4-11) saw its two-game win streak snapped as no Rattler reached double figures. Jamie Adams led the team with nine points and three others chipped in eight.

Allen Payne had 12 of his 16 points and 11 of his 12 rebounds in the first half, sparking Auburn to a 38-27 lead. The Tigers broke it open after the break and were never threatened despite finishing 4-of-16 from 3-point range.

After dishing out a season-high 24 assists in their victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Auburn followed it up with 17 assists Saturday night, including five from Payne. Asauhn Dixon-Tatum and Matthew Atewe each blocked four shots, and Auburn swatted a total of 10.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Auburn opens SEC play Thursday at Mississippi. … Harrell went 6-for-6 from the foul line, making him 51-of-58 this season. … The Rattlers, picked to finish 10th in the 13-team Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, fell to 0-8 all-time against Auburn.
