South Florida 73, Florida A&M 70: Corey Allen Jr. scored a career-high 22 points, including a 3-pointer in the final minute, as the Bulls withstood a challenge from the visiting Rattlers.

Allen also had six rebounds and three assists and Victor Rudd notched 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls (8-2). John Egbunu added nine points and Chris Perry had seven rebounds as the Bulls won their fourth straight game decided by three points or fewer.

Jamie Adams had 16 points and five assists for the Rattlers (2-9), who made 10-of-24 3-pointers. Bobby King provided eight points and five rebounds and Richie Spiller had nine points on three 3-pointers.

Due to a combination of a 1-of-9 start and four early 3-pointers by the Rattlers, South Florida led just three times for a total of 1:39 in the first half. Only 13 points from Allen and a glaring disparity in free-throw attempts allowed the Bulls to stay in the game before forcing a 37-37 deadlock at halftime.

The Bulls took their first lead of the second half with 11:24 remaining and led by four with 2:15 left before Adams hit two free throws and a 3-pointer to give the Rattlers a 70-69 lead. Allen followed with his trey with 37 seconds left and the Rattlers were called for a charge with 4.7 seconds left, but only after play was stopped for nearly five minutes due to a timing issue.
