Oklahoma 81, George Mason 66: Cameron Clark's game-high 22 points led four Sooners scorers in double figures in a rout of the Patriots in the BB&T Classic at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C.

Ryan Spangler posted his fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and a game-high 13 rebounds for Oklahoma (8-1), which went 1-for-10 from 3-point range. Buddy Hield also had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Jordan Woodard had 15 points.

George Mason (5-4), which shot only 30.2 percent from the floor, was led by Bryon Allen's 15 points with Patrick Holloway, Marko Gujanicic and Jalen Jenkins tallying eight points apiece. Sherrod Wright, who had been averaging 17.5 points, was held to seven points on 2-of-10 shooting from the field.

Both teams struggled to open the second half, going a combined 2-for-16 from the floor over the first five minutes before Oklahoma, which went scoreless on its first six possessions of the half, went on a 15-4 run to extend its lead to 55-35. The Patriots closed to within 55-43, but the Sooners answered by scoring 12 of the next 16 points to take a 20-point lead and never trailed by less than 10 the rest of the way.

The Sooners missed all five of their 3-point attempts in the first half, but shot 50 percent from the field while outscoring the Patriots, 15-1, off the fast break to take a 38-28 halftime lead. George Mason struggled with Oklahoma's inside height, getting outrebounded, 25-12, and outscored in the paint, 26-10, over the first 20 minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Oklahoma missed its first 10 3-pointers before Woodard hit the Sooners' lone trey with 19 seconds left in the game, while George Mason was 7-of-27 from beyond the arc. ... The Sooners outrebounded the Patriots, 51-29. ... The two teams combined for 45 fouls with the Sooners 22-of-29 from the foul line and the Patriots 21-of-28.
