No. 15 Oregon 82, Cal Poly 61: Richard Amardi and Elgin Cook scored 14 points apiece to lead a balanced attack as the host Ducks continued their best start in seven years by defeating the Mustangs in the finale of the Global Sports Hardwood Challenge.

Johnathan Loyd, Joseph Young and Damyean Dotson added 13 points apiece as Oregon (7-0) won its three tournament games by an average of 19.7 points. Loyd and Young each made three 3-pointers as the Ducks were 9-for-19 from beyond the arc.

Brian Bennett recorded 11 points and seven rebounds for Cal Poly (2-5), which lost all three of its games in the four-team, round-robin tournament. David Nwaba, Maliik Love and Ridge Shipley scored nine points apiece for the Mustangs, with Shipley going 2-for-4 from 3-point range while his teammates were 4-for-23 from deep.

Oregon trailed only once at 2-0 and doubled Cal Poly 36-18 after Loyd's 3-pointer with 5:46 left in the first half en route to a 44-32 lead at the break. Loyd scored 11 points in the first 20 minutes while Nwaba scored seven of his nine in a 3:07 stretch to help cut the deficit to eight before the Ducks scored the half's final four points.

The Mustangs were as close as 12 points after Shipley's 3-pointer made it 55-43 with 13:15 remaining, but Dotson split two defenders for a driving layup to push the lead to 59-43 with 11:46 left. Oregon stretched the advantage to 69-45 on Jason Calliste's four-point play with 8:32 to go.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Loyd became the sixth player in Oregon history to win 80 games. ... The 2006-07 Ducks started 13-0. ... Oregon is the fourth-highest ranked team Cal Poly has met. The Mustangs' only victory over a ranked opponent came last season, when they stunned No. 11 UCLA at Pauley Pavilion.
