Isaiah Austin scored 21 points and Pierre Jackson had 15, including a pair of free throws with 18 seconds left to give the Bears a victory over the host Mountaineers.

Making its first trip to Morgantown, Baylor (17-11, 8-7 Big 12) snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 4-6 on the road. A.J. Walton scored 10 points and Cory Jefferson grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for the Bears, who beat West Virginia 80-60 on Feb. 13 in Waco.

Eron Harris scored a career-high 25 points to lead West Virginia (13-15, 6-9), which lost its third straight game. Kevin Noreen added 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds off the bench for the Mountaineers, who fell to 8-5 at home.

West Virginia went on a 13-4 run for a 30-21 lead with 3:21 left in the first half but Baylor cut the Mountaineers’ lead to five points, 34-29, at halftime. Baylor took a 50-48 lead on Gary Franklin’s 3-pointer with 9:48 remaining, but West Virginia cut it to 63-62 on Noreen’s 3-pointer with 1:36 left.

Baylor did not make a field goal in the final seven minutes. The Bears improved to 3-0 in the series against West Virginia, which outrebounded Baylor 42-32.

GAME NOTEBOOK: West Virginia coach Bob Huggins, with 723 career wins, needs one to tie Ray Meyer for 18th place on the NCAA Division I all-time winningest coaches list. … West Virginia is 476-139 at WVU Coliseum and 128-34 against teams making their first visit to WVU Coliseum. … Jackson has made a 3-pointer in 39 consecutive games, the second-longest streak in program history behind LaceDarius Dunn’s 45 straight.
