Southern California 71, Washington 60: J.T. Terrell scored 18 points and made four 3-pointers to lead the host Trojans past the Huskies in Pac-12 play.

Eric Wise added 12 points for USC (11-13, 6-5 Pac-12), which has won a season-best three straight games and is just two games out of first place in the Pac-12.

Scott Suggs scored all 16 of his points in the second half for Washington (13-11, 5-6). Abdul Gaddy scored 12 points and Aziz N’Diaye had 10 points and 12 rebounds as the Huskies lost for the sixth time in seven games.

The Trojans scored the first seven points and never trailed. The lead was 35-16 after a 3-pointer by Terrell with 5:21 to go in the first half before Washington trimmed USC’s edge to 40-29 at the break.

The Huskies pulled within 63-58 on a 3-pointer by Suggs with 3:33 to play. Wise responded with a three-point play to start a game-ending 8-2 run as the Trojans improved to 4-3 under interim coach Bob Cantu.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Washington G C.J. Wilcox is struggling with a foot injury and had just eight points, well below his 18.1 average. Wilcox did have a career-best six steals. … The Trojans were 14-of-15 from the free-throw line while the Huskies were 4-of-14. … N’Diaye has double-doubles in four straight games and 11 overall.
