Texas 60, Texas Christian 43: Sheldon McClellan had a game-high 15 points as the Longhorns handed the visiting Horned Frogs their eight straight loss.

Ioannis Papapetrou added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Longhorns (10-11, 2-6 Big 12), who shot a season-high 52.3 percent from the floor.

Adrick McKinney had 13 points for the Horned Frogs (9-12, 0-8) while Connell Crossland had eight points and 12 rebounds.

Texas never trailed after Cameron Ridley's jumper with 11:14 left in the first half put it ahead 12-11 and the Longhorns outscored TCU 17-7 over the last 9:33 of the half. McClellan started the run with five straight points and his steal and layup with two seconds left gave Texas a 32-20 halftime lead.

Texas scored the first seven points of the second half while the Horned Frogs missed their first five shots. Garlon Green pulled TCU within 48-39 with a 3-pointer with 7:02 left but the Horned Frogs had just four points the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Ridley had four blocks. It was his eighth game with at least three blocks. ... Texas, which entered Saturday leading the country in 3-point shooting defense (25.8 percent), allowed TCU to hit 2-of-13 (15.4 percent) from behind the arc. ... TCU is 0-11 when it shoots a lower percentage than its opponent.
