Texas A&M 55, Mississippi State 49 (OT): Fabyon Harris scored 17 points and J’Mychal Reese scored six of his 10 points in overtime to lead the visiting Aggies to the SEC victory.

Elston Turner added 11 points, including a key basket in overtime that gave Texas A&M (13-7, 3-4 SEC) a four-point lead with 30 seconds remaining.

Gavin Ware scored 14 points and Colin Borchert had 10 to lead Mississippi State (7-12, 2-5).

The Bulldogs scored 10 unanswered points to take a 20-10 lead with 8:20 remaining in the first half and upped their advantage to 12 at the break.

Mississippi State scored the first basket of the second half to go up by 14, but the Aggies began chipping away, eventually tying the score at 35 on a layup by Reese with 12:13 left. Mississippi State freshman guard Craig Sword grabbed an offensive rebound and banked in a 3-pointer with 6.5 seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 47 and force overtime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Texas A&M and Mississippi State combined for more first-half turnovers (21) than rebounds (13). … Sword finished with six turnovers, the ninth time this season he has had at least five in a game. … Texas A&M coach Billy Kennedy won his first game in seven tries against the Bulldogs.
