Oklahoma 77, Oklahoma State 68: Romero Osby scored 17 points and the host Sooners extended their home winning streak over the Cowboys to nine games.

Buddy Hield and Amath M'Baye added 15 points apiece for Oklahoma (11-3, 2-0 Big 12), which has not lost at home to Oklahoma State since Feb. 16, 2004. Hield and M'Baye were a combined 11-of-20 from the field and also combined for 19 points in the second half.

Markel Brown led the way with 19 points for the Cowboys (11-4, 1-2) but freshman guard Marcus Smart never developed a rhythm after picking up three fouls in the first half and was held to 10 points. Phil Forte and Le'Bryan Nash added 12 points apiece for Oklahoma State, which missed seven of its first nine shots and finished 39.3 percent from the field.

The Sooners never trailed and appeared to have control when Osby's jumper gave them a 47-33 lead 3:06 into the second half. Oklahoma State made nine free throws during a 17-5 run that brought them within 52-50 with 9:34 remaining before Steven Pledger's 3-pointer sparked an 18-7 spurt that extended the lead to 70-57 with 4:09 left.

Osby scored 10 points in the first half as Oklahoma led by as many as 14 and took a 38-29 lead into intermission. The Sooners made seven of their first nine shots and took an early 17-10 lead before expanding it to 32-18 on Osby's 3-point play with 4:09 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Smart picked up four fouls for the sixth time in his brief career and in those games, he has shot 16-of-57. ... Before Saturday, Oklahoma State had not trailed by more than 11 points. ... Osby is shooting 37-of-61 over his last seven games.
