C.J. Wilcox scored 22 points and Aziz N'Diaye added 13 points and 12 rebounds as the Huskies extended their winning streak to four games.

Washington (8-4) held on for the victory behind another strong effort by Wilcox, who hit four 3-pointers and reached 20 points for the seventh time in his last eight games.

Abdel Nader paced Northern Illinois (2-9) with 18 points and Kevin Gray added 10. Northern Illinois trailed by six with 1:43 remaining, but Washington hit four straight free throws to secure the win.

Washington was outscored in the paint 24-12 despite outrebounding Northern Illinois 41-23. Abdul Gaddy had 12 points and six assists for Washington, which shot just 31.6 percent, including 36 percent (9-of-25) from 3-point range.

Washington led by 11 at halftime and extended its lead to 52-37 when Wilcox drained a 3-pointer with 11:40 to play. Northern Illinois refused to go away and trailed by eight after Aksel Bolin's 3-pointer with 4:07 remaining.
