Mississippi 73, Loyola Marymount 70: Marshall Henderson scored 18 points and Murphy Holloway had 16 points and 14 rebounds as the Rebels edged the host Lions.

Nick Williams scored 13 and Jarvis Summers added 12 points as Mississippi (8-1) held on when Loyola Marymount’s Anthony Ireland missed a tying 3-point attempt with seven seconds remaining.

Ireland led the Lions (5-5) with 17 points but hit just 6 of 20 shots. Ayodeji Egbeyemi scored 14 points, Ashley Hamilton tallied 13 and Chase Flint had 12 for Loyola Marymount, which never led over the final 30-plus minutes.

The Lions trailed by 12 points early in the second half before getting back into the game with an extended run. A basket by Ireland pulled the Lions within 61-60 with 7:20 remaining. A 3-pointer by Ireland made it 67-66 with 5:16 left and the Rebels pushed the lead back to five on a jumper by Williams with 1:04 left.

Ole Miss was 7-of-11 from 3-point range in the first half en route to a 44-33 halftime lead. The Rebels finished the half with a 20-10 surge to take the 11-point edge.
