Julian Washburn scored a career-high 23 points and John Bohannon had a season-high 21 as the host Miners escaped with the upset victory.

Bohannon and Konner Tucker scored five points each in the final overtime. Cedrick Lang finished with 14 points and Tucker and Jacques Streeter had 12 apiece for UTEP (4-5), which was coming off a two-point loss Monday against No. 17 UNLV.

Damyean Dotson scored a season-high 20 points, Carlos Emory had season-high 18 and Dominic Artis scored 15 for the Ducks (9-2).

The Ducks missed 11 free throws in 18 attempts over the final 1:44 of regulation and the three overtimes.

UTEP led by as many as nine in the first and second halves before an 8-0 run by the Ducks gave them a 43-41 lead with 10:15 left. The teams were tied at 49, 51, 53, 55, 57, 59 and eventually 62 to force the first overtime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: In his second game back after missing the first seven games with a fractured wrist, Tucker shot 1-for-6 from the field but 9-for-9 from the free-throw line. He missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer in the two-point loss Monday night against No. 18 UNLV. … McKenzie Moore was also playing his second game for the Miners. The 6-6 sophomore point guard had to wait until after the fall semester to become eligible. He did not score, missing his only two field-goal attempts.
