T.J. Warren scored 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field, and Richard Howell grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds to go with 12 points as the host Wolfpack defeated the Spartans.

North Carolina State (7-2) extended its winning streak to three games as Lorenzo Brown added 16 points, C.J. Leslie chipped in 11 and Rodney Purvis had 10.

Norfolk State (6-7) was led by Malcolm Hawkins, who scored 16 points. Rashid Gaston had 11 points and six rebounds. The Spartans played their second consecutive ranked opponent on the road. They lost, 64-54, at No. 10 Illinois on Tuesday night.

North Carolina State, which led 38-25 at halftime, outrebounded Norfolk State, 41-28. The Wolfpack forced 16 turnovers and converted them into 21 points.

The Spartans stayed with the Wolfpack for the first 15 minutes but made only one basket in about 10½ minutes bridging halftime as North Carolina State pulled away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: North Carolina State is 2-0 against Norfolk State, a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
