LaQuinton Ross (13 points), Shannon Scott (12) and Evan Ravenel (11) joined Thomas in double figures. Ohio State (7-1) dominated the glass, outrebounding Savannah State 48-21. Ross and Ravenel each had nine boards, and they combined for seven of the Buckeyes' 19 offensive rebounds.

Arnold Louis had 14 points before fouling out to lead Savannah State (5-5), which lost its second straight. The Tigers came into this game allowing 53 points, and the output allowed to Ohio State was a season high for a Savannah State opponent.
