Iowa State 83, Florida Gulf Coast 72: Senior guard Korie Lucious scored 17 points and dished out nine assists as the Cyclones pulled away from the visiting Eagles in the second half.

Iowa State junior forward Melvin Ejim chipped in 14 and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. The Cyclones, who shot 52 percent from 3-point range, also received solid bench scoring from senior guard Tyrus McGee, who scored 16, and sophomore center Percy Gibson, who added nine off 4-for-4 shooting.

After trailing for much of the first half, Iowa State (6-2) used a 19-6 run to grab a four-point lead by halftime. A 21-9 run to begin the final 20 minutes helped the Cyclones further distance themselves from Florida Gulf Coast (6-4), which led by seven at one point in the first half.

Four of the Eagles' starters scored in double figures, led by junior forward Chase Fieler's 18. Sophomore guard Brett Comer scored a season-high 15. Bernard Thompson and Sherwood Brown finished with 14 and 12, respectively.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Iowa State has outrebounded all eight of its opponents this season. … The Cyclones extended their home winning streak, which ranks fifth in school history, to 13 games. … Lucious shot 5-for-7 from beyond the arc.
