Texas Tech 75, Northern Kentucky 69: Jaye Crockett came off the bench to score 16 points and pull down eight rebounds as the Red Raiders held off the Norse in Lubbock.

Crockett, who has led Texas Tech in scoring in five straight games, was 6-of-9 from the field and drained all four of his free throw attempts. Freshman guard Josh Gray added 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting.

Northern Kentucky was able to run with Texas Tech in the early going, establishing a 10-7 lead on a 3-pointer by Eshaunte Jones 3:23 into the first half. The Red Raiders (5-1) answered NKU's early hot hand with a 14-0 run and would never relinquish the lead from then on, though the Norse would not go quietly.

With the Red Raiders up 71-57 with 3:52 to play, Northern Kentucky finished the game on a 12-4 run but time ran out on any comeback hopes when Crockett sealed the victory for Texas Tech by blocking a Jack Flournoy jumper with eight seconds left.

Jones finished with 16 points and shot 4-of-7 from 3-point range for the Norse (0-6), which knocked down 7-of-14 from long range in the first half before totaling 10-of-28 from 3-point land for the game. Northern Kentucky was outrebounded 31-15.
