No. 24 Cincinnati 102, Mississippi Valley State 60: Sean Kilpatrick recorded 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting and the host Bearcats scored eight of the game’s first 10 points en route to a blowout win over the Delta Devils.

Kilpatrick added seven rebounds and JaQuon Parker chipped in with 13 points as Cincinnati (2-0) shot 55.7 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from 3-point range.

Davon Usher and Darryl Marshall scored 13 points each for Mississippi Valley State (0-2), which shot 34.4 percent as a team.

A Kilpatrick 3-pointer set the tone 24 seconds into regulation before Cincinnati went on a 17-2 run - keyed by five points apiece from Parker and Cashmere Wright - to take a 37-14 lead with 5:05 left in the first half.

Kilpatrick scored 13 of his 20 points in the second half as the Bearcats gradually pushed their 43-23 halftime cushion to a 42-point margin of victory.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wright finished with 11 points, five assists and just one turnover. … Cincinnati outrebounded Mississippi Valley State 51-20, holding the Delta Devils to just five offensive boards.
