Michigan 73, Minnesota 69: Freshman Trey Burke scored a season-high 30 points as the No. 13 Wolverines rallied late to force overtime and pulled away in the extra period in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament.

Tim Hardaway Jr. poured in 20 points for Michigan (24-8), which defeated Minnesota (19-14) for the fourth straight time and seventh time in the last eight meetings.

The second-seeded Wolverines will face No. 3 seed Ohio State in Saturday's semifinals.

Michigan appeared to be on the verge of becoming the Gophers’ second upset victim in as many days before Zack Novak hit two 3-pointers - his only points - to cut a late seven-point deficit down to 56-53 with 1:14 left in regulation.

Following a missed jumper by the Gophers on the next possession, Evan Smotrycz knotted the game at 56 with another 3-pointer - his only points - with 19 seconds remaining, eventually sending the game into overtime as Rodney Williams’ runner in the lane came up short with one second remaining.

In the extra period, Burke continued his domination as he scored nine of Michigan’s 16 points and the Wolverines improved to 3-0 in overtime games this season.

Andre Hollins scored a team-high 21 points and Williams added 20 for the Gophers, who are likely headed to the NIT.
