North Carolina 85, Maryland 69: Harrison Barnes and Reggie Bullock scored 15 points each as the fourth-ranked Tar Heels rolled past the Terrapins in the ACC quarterfinals.

ACC Defensive Player of the Year John Henson was fouled hard on a first-half drive, hurting his left wrist. He did not play after halftime, but the injury to the Tar Heels’ star is not believed to be serious.

UNC (28-4) beat Maryland for the third time this season and advanced to face the winner of Virginia-NC State.

The Tar Heels led 36-26 at halftime, then Reggie Bullock opened the second half with consecutive 3-pointers. James Michael McAdoo’s driving dunk made it 44-26. Maryland cut it to seven but got no closer.

Maryland (17-15) waits to see if it will get an NIT bid. ACC leading scorer Terrell Stoglin nailed his first four shots and finished with 30 points.

Game Notebook: UNC improved to 46-13 as the tourney’s top seed. … Tar Heels PG Kendall Marshall dished out 12 assists, giving him 311 to break the ACC single-season record of 303 set by Georgia Tech’s Craig Neal in 1987-88. … Maryland went 8 of 24 from beyond the arc.
