CLEMSON 72, NORTH CAROLINA STATE 69 (OT): Andre Young drained his only 3-pointers of the game in the final 1:11 of overtime as the Tigers defeated the visiting Wolfpack.

Young, who finished with 12 points, tied the game 69-69 with a 24-footer and made a 3-pointer from the deep left corner with 11.6 seconds left to put Clemson ahead for good. C.J. Leslie’s 3-pointer at the buzzer was short for N.C. State.

Milton Jennings had 17 points, before fouling out in overtime, and Tanner Smith added 15 for Clemson (15-13, 7-7 ACC), which has won four of its last five games.

Leslie finished with 18 points for N.C. State (18-11, 7-7), which has lost four straight. C.J. Williams added 16 points for the Wolfpack.

Smith made two free throws with 4.1 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime at 62-62. The Tigers, whose biggest lead was 52-44, went the final 4:41 of the second half without a field goal.

There were eight lead changes in the first half before Clemson put together a 9-4 run to take a 34-30 halftime lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: N.C. State leads the series 97-48, but Clemson has won seven of the last nine. … Williams had 10 points as N.C. State shot 53.8 percent from the field in the first half, but did not attempt a free throw. … The Wolfpack was 5 for 13 from the free-throw line.
