C.J. Wilcox made two free throws with five seconds left and visiting Washington held off a late Arizona rally to beat the Wildcats 69-67 on Saturday in a rematch of last season’s conference championship game.

Nick Johnson's slam at the buzzer was disallowed, giving the Huskies (14-7, 7-2 Pac-12) their first win at the McKale Center since 2006. Tony Wroten scored 17 points and Terrence Ross had 16 points and seven rebounds for Washington, which led by 10 points with 6:20 to play.

Arizona (14-8, 5-4) was paced by Solomon Hill’s 28 points and 11 rebounds. After leading at halftime by three points, the Wildcats shot 39 percent and were outrebounded 22-16 in the second half.

Wilcox scored 15 points and Aziz N'Diaye had 12 points and eight rebounds for Washington, which won despite shooting 7 for 16 (43.8 percent) from the free throw line.

Washington, which entered the game in a three-way tie for first place in the Pac-12, needed overtime to beat Arizona 77-75 in last season’s conference championship game. The Huskies recorded their first sweep of the Arizona schools since 2006.
