Lorenzo Brown scored 20 points as N.C. State never trailed in defeating Wake Forest 76-40 at Lawrence Joel Coliseum.

Wake Forest (10-7, 1-2 Big East) made just 16 of 55 shots from the field and 2 of 22 on 3-point attempts. The Demon Deacons trailed by as many as 39 points.
N.C. State (13-5, 2-1 ACC) allowed its fewest points since giving up 37 to Coppin State in November 2002.

Travis McKie and C.J. Harris, who came into the game Nos. 2 and 3 in the ACC in scoring, were held to a combined 12 points for Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons shot 6 of 30 from the field in the first half and went nearly seven minutes without scoring.
Nikita Mescheriakov had a layup at the 6:50 mark to end the drought and McKie followed with his first points to make it 21-14. But N.C. State ended the opening half on a 12-3 run, thanks in large part to Brown, who scored all eight of his first-half points in the final five minutes to put N.C. State up 33-17 at halftime.

C.J. Williams added 15 points and Richard Howell had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the visiting Wolfpack.
