Moses Morgan and Jeremiah Kelly scored five points apiece in a 17-0 DePaul run early in the second half to lead the Blue Demons to 75-52 victory at winless Northern Illinois on Wednesday.

Cleveland Melvin led four DePaul players in double figures with 19 points while Brandon Young had 16 and Kelly finished with 15.

Northern Illinois (0-9) was led by Tim Toler with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Toler was 7-for-14 from the floor but the rest of the Huskies shot 9-for-41.

DePaul (7-3) led 28-25 at the break but the Huskies quickly took a 33-32 lead early in the second half. Morgan then started the big run with a jumper and he and Kelley both hit 3-pointers in the decisive surge.

Northern Illinois never got closer than a dozen points the rest of the way.

DePaul, which won its third straight game, improved to 24-6 all-time in the series.
